Acer palmatum 'Mellow Yellow'

Discovered and introduced at Maplestone Ornamentals. This fast-growing, upright Japanese Maple originated as a seedling of Orange Dream. The spring leaves are a unique shade of pale to soft yellow depending on the lighting. Summer color fades to chartreuse. Like most yellow leaf varieties, this one needs protection from the afternoon sun.
