Acer palmatum 'Tamuke yama'
This variety is one of the oldest known red lace leaf Japanese Maples. It is written about in Japanese literature dating back to 1710. It has stood the test of time and is still extremely popular today because of how well it holds its dark red leaf color even during extreme heat and humidity. It is also very fast growing. Often the leader branch can be staked 10ft high and smaller branches left to cascade down, creating a dramatic and beautiful effect. Fall color is bright red.
We apologize for the lower than normal inventory. We will be adding some varieties on August 1st
